Must… resist…

I’m feeling pretty good about my don’t-buy-from-Reverb policy. (Only because I don’t want to create yet another account and I have yet to see a deal at Reverb that was better than anywhere else)

All bets are off if Sweetwater gets this price.

Korg is the best! They seem to consistently vastly overestimate potential sales numbers and then end up having some of the gnarliest warehouse sales ever. The OpSix blowout was amazing, this is pretty great too.

Korg store now has the kind of sales you usually only see for plug-ins on Black Friday.

DJ Tech Tools have Croma Caps at 50% off. I used this sale last year to replace the all black knobs on my Minilogue XD and it helped me out tremendously (old eyes be damned )

B stock is still covered by the 2y vendor warranty, not so however second-hand products. Even then, the vendors have to offer a limited warranty (eg 6months) on second-hand products.

Just fyi, “Korg usa reverb direct” store is the only place they have major sales for their products at this low of a price. They have been doing these amazing sales for certain items like last year with the sq-64 for $130, Opsix for $330, and now this 2600m for $1150.

Not sure why you’re opposed to buying from their reverb store, but this won’t be on sale anywhere else for this low. Sweetwater just now put the 2600m on sale for $1500, so $1150 is an amazing deal for this. Ive personally never had any issues purchasing from korg’s reverb store. Just saying.

Edit: It did happen! $1150 at sweetwater now as well! :grinning:

Nice. Anyone know if/which ones fit Electron boxes?
It’s just D-Shafts right? Can’t throw these on Volcas and others mini shafts can you?

Someone nabbed it! Had a coupon too.

for chroma caps, In the device search box, if you type a list of all compatible devices appears. For Elektron, it looks like Analog, model cycles and octatrak. nothing for digi boxes.

That has not been my experience. I got my OPSIX from Sweetwater for $330, and my SQ-64 from Alto Music via Amazon for $199.

Incidentally, Sweetwater has dropped the 2600m to $1499, which is now $100 under what Detroit Modular is asking.

I don’t really have a principled objection to Reverb, but not having an account there probably helps to limit my synth spend.

Since sweetwater just now put the 2600m on sale for $1500, while korg’s usa reverb direct store is $1150, the $350 difference between that as well as the $70 difference of $199 vs $130 for the sq-64 last year are definitely not insignificant differences in sale price imo. If it helps deter gear spending by not purchasing from Korg’s reverb store, then whatever works best for you, but fyi you dont even need to create an account on reverb to purchase, as you can just checkout as guest. There is no real difference between purchasing from korg’s official reverb store or any other store like sweetwater, except that you are getting a massively better sale price from korg direct.

Again, not consistent with my experience. When I bought my OPSIX I got it two days later. People who bought from the reverb store waited at least a week.

I will most likely buy a B2600 on Monday, but if Sweetwater happens to match the Reverb price, I’d have to think carefully about my order.

Okay, I just dont understand the hesitation of purchasing from Korg’s reverb store vs sweetwater since youre saying you would consider the $1150 price only if it was sold at sweetwater, when you can just buy it from Korg’s reverb store for $1150 without creating an account there.

About the behringer version. I bought the grey meanie last year, and after using it for almost a month, I decided to return it to wait for the 2600m to drop price. While the behringer sounded good and had extra features, it definitely was missing something in its overall sound compared to the official Korg Arp. The B’s spring reverb was definitely lacking and the synth had a more overall sterile modern analog tone, less “vintage” sounding than the korg for lack of a better term. For the price, the behringer is amazing, but the Korg just sounds better and is absolutely worth the current reverb sale price of $1150 imo.
I wouldnt doubt there to be some amazing Behringer deals on sweetwater in the upcoming weeks though, as they always have massive discounts every november for their gear.

I’ve never considered something like the Arp before … just realized i had a VI by Arturia for the 2600 and have been having a blast with it. I plan on spending the weekend learning it and it helps to have a bunch of presets that i can see how the cable routing works.

I prefer hands-on hardware but I am appreciating the virtual cables
