Hello community.
I bought a m1 mac. Due to the small number of USB inputs, I have to buy a hub.
I need to connect a rytm , heat , music interface and some midi devices.
What do you recommend, because I’m about to go crazy xd
Whatever you get, make sure its powered, ie it has its own power supply and doesnt power off usb.
I think anker makes reasonable products, im sure theres plenty of brands. I have a brydge but its more a docking station than a hub cause I use multi monitors with my m1 laptop
Oh snap, @AdamJay is writing a response. Cant wait to read it.
On the hub side of things, I use this one, thanks to the GL3520 chipsets.
Of course it’s no longer for sale, but finding one with a good multi-tt chipset (or pair of them) like this one definitely helps with reliability of multiple usb audio devices and midi devices mixed in.

Thank you, gentlemen, for all the answers.
Specifying. I have a mac mini m1 2020. What will you say about motherboards burning when the wrong hubs are connected?
Maybe something with thunderbolt 3?
I want to buy something that will provide me with a specific transfer. Also via overbridge
I have two of these in my M1 setup, and they are all working together just fine. These are multi-tt and powered, so they’re great with midi gear. Actually, both of these are plugged into my Caldigit, which then goes into my Mac, and they’re still fine.
Elektron’s Overhub. I use one connected to a Thunderbolt dock, but you could also connect direct to the Mac mini.
It’s super-reliable to me. Totally worth the extra cost over cheap Amazon hubs.
If you are running audio through it (depending on the amount of channels) and/or a hard drive, you might want to look into a TB3 hub instead, eg something from CalDigit or OWC.
I would not run my audio interface via a USB hub that has a bunch of other things connected to it so as to not make it compete for bandwidth. I also have a Mac Mini, I run my interface into a separate tb3 port via tb3 (UAD Apollo 8).
Hi. I have an interface on a regular usb. And that’s what I think of the caldigit docking station. Now I have problems with audio when I connect via a regular hub. I was just thinking about caldigit because apple recommends it
This is why I like the Overhub. Each USB port gets a guaranteed connection.
