Hi there,
Had many analog synths and never had a problem to tune a VCO. Now I have tinysizer. It has tune knob without habitual octave switch…only coarse knob. What’s the best way to tune in order to play standart chromatic scalee?
cheers,
Sandris.

you just need a fixed reference tone & tune it by ear. So if you’ve got another synth that you know is in tune ( digital, perhaps ) play middle A (concert pitch ) for example & tune to that by ear. Of course you could use a tuner, like a guitar tuner & plug into that. But it literally takes seconds.
My SEM Pro has a nice function : a built in 440Hz ( Middle A ) sine tone - I just tune to that.
obviously once you’ve tuned one OSC on a multi osc synth ( like your Tinysizer ) you then tune the other VCOs to that by ear - that could be a musical interval of course, or not…
Thanks for suggestions! Will try by ear
