I should be in that boat in a matter of weeks, but I figured all I had to do was check the MIDI list for the Digitakt (in the Appendix at the end of the manual), and then use the Midimix editor to make faders and buttons do what I wanted (i.e. assign them the CC’s I wanted to control on the channels I wanted to control – according to the 8 tracks on the Digitakt). Have you tried that, and it’s not working?
Cheers,
Lukasz
No I didn’t try that. I check now and reply to you. Thanks for tip!
Track 1 level responds to CC 95 on MIDI channel 1, Track 2 level responds to CC 95 on MIDI channel 2 and so on. I made my own MIDI USB to DIN converter using this video. Cheaper and more fun)))( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-thZVszxqo&list=LL5Gclz1-T0HQJMV5E1VY0LA&index=3&t=0s)
Thanks all for tips!!!
Very nice!! and much cheaper than the usb hosts that you can buy out there. I was thinking about buying one, but I don’t have the money and then decided to buy an Arturia beatstep instead (which has midi out, and which I am very happy with), but having keyboard keys or other controller would be nice too. Do you know if you can connect two or more usb midi devices with it?
I have not tried it, but I can try tomorrow.
I tried with a hub and two USB devices and nothing worked only if one device was connected directly. I’m thinking of a MIDI hub device (splitter), maybe it will work, but I do not have a MIDI hub (splitter) at this time. Maybe in the near future I will check this option.
ask Kablehead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2P3BmzY8BOM
he use control xl and akai midimix
I tried that too. It didn’t work when I had both devices plugged in at the time I turned the USB –> MIDI host on. But it worked when I had only one device plugged in when turning the host on, and only then added the second one. And then they both worked. I’m using a Mode Machines Cerebel USB V2.
I’ll try it thanks for tip!
