How to program octatrack audio tracks with digitakt midi sequencer?

Hi! Spent a few days on it, maybe you could explain it to me.
I want to make an arrangement in DT song mode controlling OT tracks (muting/unmuting them). In order to do so I wanted to assign DT midi tracks to channels 1-8 and then make OT tracks recieve sequence from DT. I did go to OT settings - midi - channels and and made sure that trig ch is 1-8 but when i hit play trigs are not making sound. Am I doing it wrong? Is there a way to make it work? Because it works great vise versa OT programming DT tracks through midi tracks I thought there should be a way to make it work the opposite way

Did you set right notes and channels on DT midi tracks ?
(Notes C6-C8 on DT correspond to notes C5-C7 on OT).

In MIDI > CONTROL you can choose STANDARD, or FOLLOW TM (Trig Mode).
This way you can choose Chromatic, Slot, Slice mode…

My sequence on DT was in C5. I changed it to C6 and it worked. Thank you so much!!

Were you able to get the Octatrack to send the correct notes to Digitakt when using the Tracks trig mode? When i hit the buttons 1-8 on OT it plays the corresponding track on DT, just several octaves too low. Can’t figure out how to change the note sent out.
When in enable the midi channel in OT for a midi track, it also stops Tracks trig mode from sending the notes to DT.

maybe the auto channel in the midi settings?

I think the channels are fine as the note event is sent and received. Problem is the note is several octaves too low, and after reading manual I still don’t see how to change the note sent from OT via Tracks trig mode (i.e. not chromatic mode, slices, etc).
