I’d like to trigger some long samples that play for an indefinite amount of time or across 4 bars, but half time or even slower. Example sounds are dialogue and background noise, and then LFO the parameters slowly over time while the audio plays.
Most of my other tracks are 1 bar/16 steps. I tried this before and everything got weird. I had patterns playing for 2 steps and resetting, it was crazy. Ill try and outline what I did, because I have dug into this, I just didn’t execute properly.
First thing I did was go to Func+PTN and changed the scale mode to per track. Then I went to track I wanted to trigger once and long play and I selected “plays free” .
I am wondering if I was supposed to use a oneshot trk instead, but I’m not sure if that would ever retrigger. I was following a YT video and the guy just went to func+page and changed the scale to 1/8 so it would play slow, but when I did that it would only play for 2 steps and then reset.
So I’m just trying to figure out the settings so I can do this properly.
