How to handle pattern signature per ... track?

Hi there,

If we can use pattern scale like 12/16 for mimic ternary, this set up all for each track of a pattern, of course.

how would you handle a case in which you’d want to use different pattern length or (pseudo) signatures ?

You cannot set up different lengths per track on the MD, unfortunately.

The OT and A4 can do that. The OT can also use different tempo multipliers or dividers per track.

this would drive me (constraint me) to use an external sequencer :frowning:

I wonder if using an Octatrack or Amalog4 to sequence the machineDrum will allow to accomplish that :slight_smile:

9 years later, and I’m sure it could, as the root clock would be an external sequencer that could sequence whatever it can.
