How to control RYTM with 2 midi controllers?

I would like to control my Rytm with my octatrack and also a Novation midi controller for additional knob tweaking. Do I need a midi merge box to plug 2 midi devices in to the RYTM.

How do people control say a hardware sound module with a keyboard midi controller and a separate knobby midi controller? Is it always via a midi merge box to the Midi IN?

Midi merge are always handy to have and would make it possible to do want you want…
Or can route things through your daw

I don’t use a DAW. Hardware only :slight_smile:

For the launch control xl you will need a usb midi host. I had an old raspberry pi laying around that I setup to be a midi host and works a treat.

Check Kenton, I use midi thru and midi merge, my Elektron boxes receive, Faderfox pc4, MF Twister, Pirate Midi Bridge 6 as well as speaking to each other also :pray:

Also make sure you figure out midi channels and disable any midi on tracks you don’t need etc
