How the DT recognizes a sample?

Does the DT recognize a sample across different projects through the path or some kind of hash?

Let’s say I have a sample already in used in DT, I now want to apply an HPF. I want to do it on my laptop then replace the original with the new sample. Will all the projects be affected by it?

It uses a hash. I don’t think you can replace a sample as you describe

Thanks, so the good news from it is that we can re-organize the samples easily.
Cool

Might be useful someday, thanks folks

DANG! Reorganizing patterns and samples through projects and starting projects on the computer is exactly what I was suggesting in the feature requests thread. Thanks for pointing it out here again, I would have missed the other thread since it´s closed and I just came back after 3 weeks of vacation.

I found the new thread linked in the old thread so it´s all good  looking forward to read into it over the weekend.

Also a must-have would be an extra filter before the effect chain, just to clean out and mix properly
