I remember that video. Darren Price making a version of "everybody jack’. I ended up with a Maschine too
I agree with @error.eyes In that it sounds like a synth tom.
I could swear that I’ve been able to get similar tones from my drumfire df500, but I’ll need to re-listen since I’m waiting at the vet and not in that headspace.
I can also check out sample libraries for synare-style design.
Haha me also. Maschine was my first hardware
It keeps saying the ISO is corrupted

try here, make sure you’re looking at the ‘converts’ folder where everything is a zip download rather than ISO
THANK YOU!
OHHH DAMN, SO THIS WAS A SAMPLE. In search of gold I found silver. Still searching for the mythical bucket drums.
If you have a look through the thread, it appears to be the other way around, @sketcherone points out that Best Service has sampled Underworld. There are other loops on the CD that seem to have been sampled from the same sources Underworld used, like the break above from 2 Bad Mice’s Bombscare as mentioned by @zaven further up. I tried to clarify this with the edit of my original post, apologies for any confusion
A lot of these old ISOs are theoretically valid to burn, but the file format to read is proprietary per sampler (not Mac or Windows standard), so you’d need something like ChickenSys Translator ($$$) to read them, though there may be other AKAI specific utilities I’m forgetting offhand.
Funny this thread bubbling this up now.
I’ve just spent the past ~1 week diving through all these sample CDs, jesus what a rabbit hole!
Of course it ends up being a strange combination of; a goldmine of classic sounds, and a cheesy pool of unusable garbage. I love it !
I suggest downloading the converted versions from that same site here. These have been ripped to wav and then split on silences/gaps, dealing with the hassles of the raw ISO and audio CD versions is not something I would wish on anyone
Ewan Magregor was 25 when he starred in trainspotting. That famous opening scene. How time flies.
BOY BOY BOY BOY
me looking at my 7" dynaudios after seeing this dude having Funktion One in his studio

I got JBL full range pa speakers in my studio after I saw this video ha

ok i watched the whole thing but not incorporating the croak-patter from the game was a lost opportunity
Did you make this specifically for me?
I wish I made such a thing, I just googled slippy slippy toad and there it was with all of 70 views or whatever.
