How Deep can you go!? The 90s Underground Dance Music thread

So cool to see this gem finally re-released.

Oh, and speaking of Stasis (from another continent though)

B12, Stasis, Nuron etc are absolutely my kind & era of techno.

I was trying to get Paul (Likemind) to get a gatefold sleeve made up for the Nuron reissue, via Kickstarter or similar (Artwork & notes) but it never went anywhere.

Such a shame! It definitely deserves a proper release, though anything is an improvement on my Soulseek collection of varying quality vinyl rips.

Love that Way / Deep ep.

Todd Edward was one of those producers I wanted to like but never really did.
That Kenny Larkin remix is fire.

I’ll counter with:

But the real gem from this remix package is this Nail Remix:

I’ll finish off with one of my favourite St Germain Tracks:

Yeah, love early 90s ambient techno. It deserves a thread of it’s own.
Heavenly Music Company, Spacetime Continuum, Ex-Terrestrial…

Fully agree, of course, I guess my joke about Selway seeing mnml coming didn’t quite come across, lol.

Haha, yeah, I suspected there was a joke in there I didn’t get

Let’s make this happen…

Yep! Everything those guys did was special. I also remember some of my friends buying the 12” with the original mix of The Way and were SUPER bummed…not that it’s bad, but it’s not that Secret Ingredients mix. When I bought my copy from my local shop a friend accused me of stealing his copy that was supposed to be on hold for him and didn’t speak to me for a while.

You’re not alone. It’s a very distinct sound and a lot of his tunes follow a very similar formula.

Patrick Pulsinger made some great techno of which this was one if I remember correctly. Great track

While I first into jungle back in the first half of the 90’s, it was this mixtape by Dave Angel called “Trance Lunar Paradise” that opened my ears to house and techno.
Check that Y2K cover design!

Loved his tracks and his cheap label. Found it interesting that even Robert Hood released there.

Another fav track of the ones i remember, seems Pulsinger together with electric indigo (edit) and Tunakan. also remeber her sets being very deep

Agreed. I’ve been loving the deep house and jungle discoveries in this thread though. Thanks all for a fun night of “deep” listening.

Haven’t heard this for years. Thanks for reminding me of it.

That opening synth arpeggio is from a sample CD called Global Trancemission. I’ve heard it on a drum and bass tune too.
