Hi, here are my votes:

#1: beat 8: Original style. Love the chords, the hi lead, the panned perc, the pitched synth
#2: beat 2: versatile, good sound, rap works well, love the reverb on vocals
#3: beat 6: like this different beat, is that ringmod on the voice at 4:50?
HM: beat 5: This Beat just works

here are my votes! thanks for the fun battle yall, always an honor to share the space with your music.

1 - this feels like it could have been the original beat for the verse. dark and moody, wraps around the vocals perfectly. tight sounding drums and cohesive.
2 - i like the energy the sample brings, keeps things feeling ethereal. the smooth sample compliments the gritty drums well.
3 - vocals pitched around got me thinking of quasimoto. i dig the switch up in the back half, love the 808 cowbell.
4 - this has a sick vibe. a trudging beat, its got a swagger in its swing. love the percussion sample, that clap is crisp.
5 - i like the play between the sample and the drums. i like the use of effects on the verse. got a chill flow to this one
6 - this goes bananas. i wanted to use the didgeridoo sample so bad but couldn’t click with it. you killed it, tribal doom psytrance should be a new genre
7 - drums bump, i like the driven sound they add. the slurry sample in the back adds a wonky vibe that keeps things feeling villainous.
8 - i like the wonky wood block type sample throughout. feels like a spooky dreamscape, matches well with the abstract doom lyrics.
9 - the drums are sounding crisp, the dubby effects on the samples keep them dynamic. wish there was a doom verse on top!

Sorry I’m late!

1st: Track 2—I really liked the chord progressions and the places you took it. Good use of the 3-minute runtime.

2nd: Track 1—Strong atmosphere and mood. Simple but never boring.

3rd: Track 5—I really liked the Aphex samples here. Pretty.

Looks like I got the most votes with Track 2, with @electricthing with the second most and a a tie for 3rd between @Klaus_Wuhan & @proskynesis! @electricthing, if you want to host the next one, its all yours! Rell loved how this whole playlist turned out

I made my track in Ableton, used the 2 main phrases of Flim, which has a very funky hip hop beat when slowed down. I put 2 instances of beat repeat on it set to very low percentages to add stuttering and glitches randomly. The intro is Avril 14th with a filter. I made the bass by making a wavetable out of the crash cymbal and one of the congas

Congrats to the win @malus_mons and thanks for a very fun battle!
I took a shortcut as I made an edit of Didgeridoo for a liveset one week before this was posted that I played with the octatrack and a drummachine. I hade the track already lined up in ableton with drums and bass so I just switched the samples to 808s and chopped around the arrangement a bit. Tried out some accapellas that didnt work but the Gazzilion one just almost fit directly. Duplicated the main didge and put a modulated resonator on that. Another resonator on the vocals for the robovoice. A limiter on the master. done.

Congrats all winners and all beatmakers.
I made beat 7.
Honored to be runner up. Thanks guys.
First time in top 3.
About hosting: Due to chronic brain issue it is hard for me to do, I have no continuity. Participating is a challenge for me.
These battles are valuable to me.
I have some ideas, but someone else would have to do the decision making. I can only help with a bit of time doing one clear task.
I appreciate the work that others put into it and would prefer to do my part.
Not so fond of asking attention for my personal stuff, but I find it important to explain.
I will later share about my beat 7.
