Scapegoats are the playbook, though members of scapegoated intersections can sign onto supremacy and be granted a one-off exceptional status if they put their boots on the necks of others, especially others from whatever group.
Cops and the media didn’t forget the satanic panic of the 1980s, they know the playbook and play the hits.
But yes, would be nice if within the fam and without we didn’t have to go “this bullshit again?” throughout the centuries. To some extent it doesn’t change that people glomp onto powerful ideas and old hatreds to shove themselves up at another’s expense.
It’s one of the oldest and most successful tricks, and can work within any affinity.

I’m a single issue voter.
I only vote for politicians that support Viktor Orban, cut off school lunches for poor children, and politicians with a constituency that absolutely cannot count… oops

I’d say Bo is “highly rated’ rather than overrated but even still, you had to count him first before you rated him… ie " 1 that is rated”
