Ive seen it both ways, the “smile” seems to be heavily weaponized on twitter… lol good thing itll be dead soon. I think sites like Twitter, fb, and 4/2 chan have ruined how people used to use the internet and how text speech was understood. Its progressivly gotten worse.
Lol tiktok is even doing it with sound.
