I’m trying to tempo sync my volca beats to the rytm without luck. I have a midi cable from the rytm midi out into volca midi in. I’ve changed the rytm’s midi out port to din24. I’ve also changed the volca midi clock to auto. Am I forgetting something? Can anyone who have a volca machine and a rytm give it a try?
I have a volca bass and it worked fine. It sounds like maybe you need to change your rytm global settings to send clock out as well as transport messages. Let me know if this works or is already done.
Thanks for helping. Send clock and transport wasn’t checked but it did not work checking them. I wonder if it has anything to do with midi channel. The volca is on 10. How do I check what channel the rytm is on?
I used to have MIDI clock sync probs in the beginning but the right settings fixed it.
use midi, not din. You need to enable output to midi (or usb+midi), and check “send clock” as well as “send transport”. I’m guessing you have your out setting in the “usb” setting?
Also, be aware that all global settings (including midi/io and sync settings) are project-dependent ie. the global settings change (and are saved) with every project. Double-check settings when in doubt.
