I’ve recently bought an Octatrack. I played with it cca. 30 mins using PRESETS, when suddenly the sound went out, and I hear nothing neither with headphone nor through main/cue. There’s nothing muted, I checked it, and volumes are also on default 0 value. I turned Octatrack off and on several times but nothing helped.
It came with 1.25H originally so I didn’t apply OS update.
And when I turn the Octatrack on, I hear loud noise in headphone for a second or so. Otherwise the headphone jack causes some noisies by moving it slightly.
Can you help me? I’m afraid that my device is bad.
Try a new project, so you can rule out accidental settings to scenes / cue outs / main outs levels etc etc
Then try the diagnostics test
Obviously the strange sound you report does sound very odd
Eventually you’ll need to run this past support, best if you try all of the above IMHO 1st, but make sure you have nothing else hooked up and that the correct PSU is firmly located
It’s quite common for the wrong psu to be used, plus ensuring it’s sat in properly was just a throwaway comment in case it wasn’t, mine pulls out quite easily, but that’s a more terminal ‘interruption’
The only other thing I might suggest if a new project didn’t help is to carefully ensure that CF card is properly seated, so gently out and very gently back in. Just a few things to try before getting onto support, but it sounds like that should be your next step
If I plug USB, the noise goes away from headphone. Pulling out, it returns.
But still no sound.
It can read the card properly. However I pulled out in in the card several times.
