I am having hard time deciding on my smaller and kind of noisy Soundcraft EPM8 mixer replacement.
Its either updated classic Mackie or budget Soundcraft.
They are very similar in feature department (except soundcraft fx section which i dont really care about) and i can get them for the same price.
Your comments about those mixers would be very welcome.
There is a thread about the Mackie 1202VLZ4, and much of what I and other enthusiastic users of the VLZ4 series mixers have to say about that model is also applicable to the 1604VLZ4.

I don’t have any experience with the Soundcraft FX 16 II, so I can’t comment on it except that if it has FX in the model name, and on board effects are necessary for you, that’s something to consider.
