Looking for a hardware sequencer that could integrate perfectly with Live 9/10.
Alright, Push 2 does the job perfectly but it is huge and I am more interested in an alternative solution. What do you use? What is your workflow?
I dont sequence Ableton, rather have Ableton sequence my hardware but if I were to do that id look at either a Squarp Pyramid, MPC Live or older models although it is wider than the Push 2, or Digitakt. Octatrack is good too but its not USB midi so you would have to get an adapter and using it only as a sequencer would be overkill imo.
Digitakt works nicely with Live, it packs a lot of great features too, although you are limited to 8 midi tracks.

What are you wanting to sequence? Drums? Synths?
I had a lot of success with OT MK2 sequencing drum racks in Ableton Live for a period of time before I went out and bought three more drum machines. 
And I think it is solid for sequencing soft synths as well.
Things like LFO designer, trig conditions/fills, and the MIDI ARP all help in making it fully featured.
