Hardware algorithmic/generative sequencers

So far I’m only aware of two different devices that occupy this niche:

I’m not sure of any other ones, although technically Elektron devices may offer a limited version of algorithmic sequencing (via Euclidean mode and especially combined with the arpeggiator) to my knowledge - I’ll need to look and ask around how this.

I’m still curious to know what else people know.

Edit: The Arturia Beatstep Pro does feel limiting to me, considering the two non-drum channels are monophonic.

How do you define “algorithmic sequencing” ?

I should have been a bit clearer - I’ve also updated the title accordingly, and I’ll share a couple of videos (at their current time for one of them) to give a better idea of what I’m looking for:

I see you added generative to this now as well.

I think there are an awful lot more than the two sequencers you have listed, by the common definitions i am aware of, but it depends on your definition.

Torso T-1 is the closest to what I’m after, I just wanted to check if there were other devices like it.

Looking at the other comments, the Oxi One also checks the right boxes for me (and some more).

Midicake Arp.

Years ago I used this software called Numerology that was really powerful. I haven’t tried it but they eventually made a hardware euro module called Vector that looks interesting https://files.five12.com/VectorUserGuideV2.pdf

Great to see this especially considering it’s a Eurorack module (despite me not having any intentions of going modular and analog), I’m kinda bummed out it’s out of stock right now and do hope this would pick up again at some point, even if by another company.

Does NDLR qualify? I think of NDLR and midicake arp together.

Looks like there’s a bunch for sale on Reverb, although that’s kind of concerning haha. I wonder if it has issues, I don’t really know anything about just that the software was cool.

Maybe with the NDLR Rev2.

I use the Great Conjunction for some surprisingly versatile generative sequencing.

It’s a pretty easy to patch lo-fi sounding FM synth thanks to the YM2413, but it’s also a hardware sequencer.

And here’s my own messing around with it.
I need to record it more!

I love numerology , shame it hasn’t been updated in years. I should go back to it .

If I were to ever get into modular, I wanted to make a chassis of different sequencers, like Rene and Grids.

I thought this was a sarcastic joke at first!
