Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today! So that means six more weeks of winter (which means nothing in Phoenix)!
Don’t worry about accuracy, he’s been right 40% of the time in the last 133 years!
I woke up to « I got you babe » on my alarm clock. What can go wrong ?

…one of my top ten "highest laughing factor " movies…ever…
but damn…he’s better right this time…dunno where it takes me if the sun comes out again and it’s still lockdown…
My cat, Monster, has over the past several years, become good friends with Mr Groundhog. The cat is friendly, but he doesn’t quite know what all to think, Mr. G.H. has his own quirky manner, sometimes excitedly going round and round in a tight circle particularly if i talk to him, and other times coming quite near the cat, just to sit quietly. He really likes some off the green weeds growing around the house, stuffing his face. This friendship has been going for several years, i related another incident over in the “Cats” thread.
Fairly recently i discovered that the G.H. are closely related to squirrels, i never would have guessed that. I am also surprised at how far they range, my cat has visited with his friend at various places around my neighborhood, my cat and I go for long walking adventures. If this sounds like Wind in the Willows or Watership Down, there is a good reason … it is.
Every Time
Actually with a binary choice system, which this is, means Phil would be wrong 60% of the time, which is really excellent — good enough to beat house odds most everywhere, and get you thrown out of the casino. You just bet against Phil.
Phil is 133 years old; he knows what he’s doing. It just looks like losing to those with less years under their belt.
