I’m feeling it. It looks like some hifi equipment from the 70s and 80s.

I wonder if it is just a sticker peel

Anytime I scope out anything that looks dope, I check to see if it comes in gold, so this is extra dope. Hell, I wish the digitakt came in gold.

To me nothing can look dope with a screen like that on it

Hopefully it’s a satin finish and not just a vinyl or whatever.

Won’t it look a bit shit when the side of the pads are lit up all different colors?

waiting for the leopard finish meanwhile

I’m pretty sure you can set the pads to whatever colour you want, I suppose you could just buy solid colour pads for it too. Survived without light up pads until now

I don’t know how I feel about the gold/black design- seems a bit jarring.

Alluring nonetheless

I think I prefer rose gold.

Ugly as f…

Not sure how I feel about it, it’s a bit gaudy. I think the UI is the ugliest thing about the new mpcs. I love people doing custom jobs, I miss people doing all the weird units. I feel like people care more about resale value now

Goldfinger … with MPC live you are basically buying an iPad, with pads, and use your finger a hell of a lot.

Possibly, but there’s something to be said about it’s all in one packaging and computer integration in addition to its potential on board storage

Edit: like, if you’re on the go, trying to use an iPad with the right accessories to match the interface of the MPC would be clunky and flimsy(I have enough experience with this just trying to use a midi keyboard with it, and it was neither fun nor convenient)

So, you’ve got pads, audio interface, Computer integration and parameter knobs all from one singular device.

It’s tempting for me- despite its obvious relation to an iPad
