Give a trigger option for multiple notes

Hi all,

Just new in the DT world. I was wondering whether I can have a conditional trigger where there a chance that eg. Note A of G or C is being played. So it needs to trigger but it umis somewhat randomized which one. I know i can add some triggless notes. But then i mess up the rythm. LFO on sample could be a option i guess. But then it loops theougg all my samples. Any suggestions?

On one track you can do it using two trigs moved with microtiming as close together as possible and the “not pre” condition.

Add probability condition to the first trig (like 50%) and the “not pre” to the second one. “not pre” triggers when the previous one doesn’t.

You can also do this by using multiple tracks, for example track 1 and track 2. Just use probability conditions on track 1 and “not nei” on track 2 (“not nei” == triggers when the previous track - the “neighbour” - doesn’t).

For more than 2 notes it becomes far more tricky to set up.

Aha… i was already to figure something out like that. Btw: is it possible to randomize a track pattern?

You mean besides closing your eyes and hitting random buttons? Only using the Digitakt itself the answer is sorrily no.

(the best approach for pattern randomization is using a computer, feeding the Digitakt via MIDI and record it)

No i mean randomizing selecting a pattern in a bank;)

Well i could use ableton to do this i guess. Make a random note pattern and send it to pattern select midi cc. Which whatever that maybe. But this is too much hassle for me:)

Ah, okay. But it’s the same. It’s not possible without external help.

So closing your eyes is the best option …
