Getting Hi-Hats Channels to Cut Each Other Off

Is there a way to set channels to cut each other off? i.e. when an open hi-hat is still ringing (track 7) a closed hi-hat (track 6) stops the open hi-hat?

I know this could be done by changing the samples in a track but that makes editing take longer lol

I don’t think that’s possible, no. There aren’t any options for choke groups on the digitakt that I have found at least. Would love to be proven wrong though

Choke groups, that was the term I was looking for! Thank you

Well the Digitakt is still a newborn so hopefully they may add a few new features into the OS. I’d also love to be able to set the drive to be pre/post filter; sometimes nice to strip all the high end out of a bass and smash it for some extra dirty low end.

P-locking different samples will “choke” the previous trig. That’s sorta how it works on the DT.

Saves a track, too.

Yeah. Like @mr_bernard said; Either parameter-locking decay of a (longer/open) hi-hat sample on the AMP page.

Or sound-locking different actual samples from the SRC page.
