I’m trying to get this to work, but can’t for the life of me work it out. Using various Gemini questions hasn’t gotten me any closer. The Akai manual is sparse, and pretty much useless.
I’m able to get the keyboard to play which ever track is selected chromatically, via Auto Select.
And the drum pads are also playing chromatically - instead of playing Tracks 1-8 on Bank A, and Tracks 9-16 on Bank B.
Anyone with the same set up and able to get the pads to work? 
I’d really love to be able to play my DT2 with some velocity sensitivity!
I’d also like to map the 8 knobs, but the Pads are the more pressing priority.
If you want the pads to trigger the different samples using the auto channel, you have to assign MIDI notes 0-15 to the pads

Ah, thanks for that.
Just to clarify - as someone who is not super technically proficient - is the idea that I would use the Akai MIDI editor to set the Pads to send MIDI Notes 0 through to 15?
Ie: Pad 1 = Midi Note 0
…which will then trigger Track 1 on the DT2.
Is that the idea?
Ah, great! I got it to work - the pads on the MPK Mini Plus are now playing Tracks 1-16.
However the keyboard is now only playing track 1, instead of using Auto Channel. 
I’ll see if I can work it out,
Did you by any chance change the MIDI channel besides the notes for the pads? Assigning different note values to the pads should not have any impact on the keyboard behavior (without having ever used an MPK mini).

It’s working now.
I’m not sure what I did, but it is all working as intended now, and pads are playing tracks 1-16, keyboard is playing chromatically, and my 8 knobs are mapped (A, D, S, R and Freq, Res, Mode and Env)
These seems like the most useful thigns to map, perhaps other users map some different parameters?
