I decided to start using my Soundcloud more as a test-bed for new ideas, rather than a library of cherished sonic high-points, so I deleted all the previous content and decided to start again.
Having carted my MD out to China to join the MM, here’s my first recording out of the reunited boxes. It’s a bit of a stomper in parts, enjoy!:
Really liked this ! Keep it up man. MM + MD such a good combo for techno.
I did the same with my soundcloud around the new year… ditched the old one and made one specifically for live jams and fun. Now I’m posting often and feeling less stressed about perfecting things or “trying too hard”. I realized music should just flow, not be forced.

Yeah, after years of a veering towards “perfecting” I sort of went to the opposite end of the scale and was largely just jamming it out and not pressing record, just having fun, and thinking it wasn’t really worth documenting in any way, shape or form. Now something of a happy medium might have been found. We’ll see!

I should add that the MM has largely been going through a BigSky for all these tracks, I’m gradually learning that less is more, but sometimes more is just too much to resist.
