Haha, Addiction has been our go-to easy fish place for the last two years with my wife either to grab some food to eat there or takeaway to the in-laws (the clams soup is nice, raw fishes are super fresh and good, urchin boxes for the treat). Amazing place indeed. Taiwan is a food paradise for me but to each their own experience!
i really blew it considering food, had i saved more money prior to moving or had more confidence learning some functional mandarin, im sure i would have had a better food experience. the cooks at the preschool i worked at made super delicious lunches every day tho, their mapo tofu and sticky rice were bangin.
but i dont get what the heck they are doing with all that pork floss, i dont need any part of that
Sausage and spinach omelette with sautéed onion and peppers for brunch! Scared to post this ugly shit I call food after every one else’s incredibly plated pictures but here we go!
Slow roasted tri tip roast on sale is my go to favorite weekend meal. At 4.97/lb on sale far superior to ground beef. I like to make oven roasted mushrooms and salad with it.
yup I keep my eyes out for beef bargains. Scored good deal this week on some nice large bone in NY strip steaks at 6.97/lb. Last time that I ate at a high end restaurant just the steak was over $40!
I want to buy a freezer and just throw in meat I find on good sale.
Crazy how beef, even tongue, cheeks, oxtails, everything, is almost out of reach for even middle class people now, except for maybe special occasions.
I want to get that freezer and shop in bulk. I’ve been watching butchering tutorials on YouTube in preparation for buying larger primal cuts (like a whole chuck roll) from Costco, etc. and then breaking it down at home.
If we want to keep eating beef I guess we’ll have to get a bit creative.
agree and fortunately I have a second freezer for stocking up on weekly sales. Meat used to be way more affordable. Seems like energy, taxes, housing and food inflation has skyrocketed while salaries have not.
