I’m lactose intolerant, but that game woulda had me stress eating every one of those cheese cubes. And that’s coming from a neutral fan. Such a fun series so far.
It really has been a great series! Almost all the playoff series were awesome! Go Pacers!
oh nice! I have a new Kitchenaid stand mixer arriving this week so I can make these things and would love to have fresh baked cookies, cakes, breads and donuts to pair with ice cream!
Stunning! I’ve been making baba ghanouj this summer, and my eggplant does NOT look that good when it comes off the grill.
made chicken fajitas tonite and came out perfect and so simple to make too
added to warm flour tortilla with cheese, salsa and guacamole and delish!
Cast iron, butter-basted New York steak with baked potato and sautéed green beans. 2010 Mount Eden cab to wash it down.
Homemade wild strawberry ice cream, we went straight for the portable version to save on bowls and spoons…
I use an Italian Effeuno electric oven and am very happy with it.
Just making the sauce for Mushroom Kali Mirch (literally mushroom black pepper) curry. It’s an interesting recipe because the curry is almost white - gravy made with curd, cashews, ginger and garlic paste and the mushrooms are pre-boiled with some white vinegar to draw the dark color from the mushroom so that they don’t discolor the sauce.
Looks like this:
Served with Kashmir Pulao which is a mildly spiced fried rice with apricots, almonds, cashews and green chilies.
It’s a Ranveer Braar recipe. I love his YT channel!
Strawberry ice cream grows wild in Belgium???
INTERESTING
I’ve not heard of this technique. That’s pretty cool.
How long are we talking about? A quick blanch?
Yeah just bring the water to the boil, put in about a tbsp of white vineagar, add the mushrooms and once they come back to the boil take them off and drain them.
I was the same when I saw the recipe so I just had to try it. It’s now one of my favourite curries to make as it’s super fragrant - almost like Thai but unmistakably Indian. The rice is also one to try. Can add whatever you like but the apricots and almonds are classic. Think byriani but less spice and way simpler to make (just fry pre-cooked rice and add the fruit and nuts chopped into small pieces).
I’m a vegetarian and I am terrible at cooking, mostly because I try to cook when I am hangry and I am resentful there are no good vegetarian restaurants in my area. My husband is a great cook, which I appreciate, but I still want to learn how to cook for my own sanity’s sake.
I can only find “cooking for beginners” that is not vegetarian
or “cooking for vegetarians” that is not for beginners
what I really need is: “cooking for resentful vegetarians”
if anyone has any thoughts PM me!
Start by making soups; it’s a wonderful and healthy world.
Maybe also look into Asian cuisine; there are lots of incredible, varied, and vegetarian options.
Do you have a vegetable garden or are you able to start one?
Perhaps you could participate in a community garden or rent one.
It forces you to adapt to what’s around you.
I’m not a vegetarian but everything takes practice!
Maybe do a Drew’s 52 Week Cooking Series! The Octajam was awesome!
