In answer to the topic of the thread, I probably flagged 2 posts ever, and one was mine in the wrong place.
Not that I am against flagging posts that warrant it, but because most if the time those posts have already been flagged.

Why not both?
Flag when appropriate (post violates forum guidelines), and refrain from flagging when not appropriate (post adheres to forum guidelines).
