Hey all,
I’ve just replaced my Octatrack battery after continuously seeing a “Battery Low” on startup. I reformatted the CF card as well, but it didn’t make a difference. I’m still getting “Battery Low” on startup and the machine is not saving changes in ram.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do in this situation?

I fixed the issue!
I opened the unit back up again, removed the battery, and sprayed contact cleaner on the battery holder. Put the new battery back in after it dried and voila - no more problem!
Had the same problem with mine. Replaced the battery but after a few months the error returned. Cleaning the contacts of the battery-holder also fixed it.
which battery did you replace it with?

That CR2450 is exactly the battery I replaced it with. And in fact, the original battery in the unit was also a Varta.
