Firmware 1.03 for DT2 - Overbridge

Thanks. I’m on 12.1. I was worried it was an interaction with 2 new releases. It’s strange that it hasn’t been picked up in beta though.

Overbridge is not detecting Digitakt II, I am on MacOS Sequoia, any solution?

Are both the firmware and overbridge updated ? You may want to check the overbridge thread I think you need to do the updates in the right order.

Same here. 12.1. Latest mac os sonoma.

only seeing 15 tracks in Ableton 11 too

Mac OS BIG SUR

I read that it’s supposed to be an Ableton limitation, it’s picking up 16 tracks but one of them is the master from DT.

My god this is glorious (even at 15 tracks)

I’m guessing it’s to do with this…

Overbridge 2.13.4 adds compatibility with Digitakt II 1.03* and Syntakt 1.30, also adding plugin output routing in order to fit to Ableton Live’s 16 plugin outputs.

They don’t really explain what that means though.

Did you switch into Overbridge mode on your machine?

It means that unfortunately Ableton only supports up to 16 plugin outputs. Which was also really surprising to me. So elektron fixed this by adding the ability to route tracks together

So track 16 is for midi from now on

Thanks. I can now see within overbridge it is possible to route multiple tracks to a common output.

It’s definitely an Ableton limitation though:

Just tried this, had the same result as you: audio is killed midway through saving a sample.
As you say, a restart brings the audio back and the sample plays fine on the trig it was assigned to.

If I use Digitakt 2 as a audio interface, I 'm not able to hear something from the external input

if people take a look at the mixer page on the digitak2 standalone app, in there you’ll see
‘AUDIO TO’ and a drop down menu…

so i presume you can have tracks all routed to 'output 1 - track 1 ’ if you wanted.
therefor, route as many tracks to less than 16 , and work within ableton more easily.

although… i’m still trying things out… maybe i’m wrong ?

Thanks for confirming!

I fixed it by going to System settings > Login Items & Extensions

In the list of 'Driver extensions i found a switch !

Atfer that OB is installed.

i think i did that earlier too , as it was mentioned in a few forum threads… i never had an issue before (that i know of) so i did it just to ensure it was ‘ticked’ .

I had exactly the same issue, when I’m chopping longer samples into smaller slices after saving few samples slicing view gets crazy and it’s loosing sample and I have to turn off unit and resample long sample to have a chance to chop it.

Yeah when I’m sampling through USB it wil usually just let me sample once. And then the input level goes dead. I then have to restart the DT2.
