You’re not alone hence the title of this thread, Doom is many people’s favorite rappers favorite rapper, or more accurately MC.
If you like doom, I would recommend going through Madlibs’s catalog since they are cut from a similar cloth while still being distinct, and even though Madlib is known for his producing prowess, he’s a very unique MC as well and well underrated in that regard…
Check out monster island czars, as well as doom’s original group called kmd
Check out beans from anti-pop consortium, and anti-pop consortium
Check out Dose one, cannibal ox, company flow, rob sonic, and MC Paul Barman if you like dooms MC level of word play.
There is a lot out there, too many to mention
Musically prefuse 73, Dabrye, and any heavily sample based producers that feature MC’s should get you there
Not my favorite rapper, but MC Paul Batman’s (and Prince Paul’s) “It’s Very Stimulating” might have made the largest length-of-album to impact-on-my-life ratio in my life. Nearly every day at least one lyric from that release makes its way into my psyche.
haha I just saw the autocorrect error on my initial post but I’ve decided to leave it with the hope that it will call him out of somewhere secret the way a large light in the sky might hasten the call to the one who might save us all…
the crux of the issue, stop claiming everything is about hating and age.
sample worthy
