Faulty led's on new digitakt 2

Hello,
Thats a DOA in my opinion.
My new unit arrived with a defect Red LED on TRIG 5.
Trig 13 and 14 the red led failed after 1h working with it.

No reaction from the store i bought it from.
Is this a know issue? What to do if the store does not react on my mail?

What country are you in. How did you pay for the item? May affect the detail of how you exercise your rights in relation to the store if you just .

Alternatively, contact Elektron and arrange a warranty repair. Though that might be more tiresome in terms of time and effort than just returning it for a refund/swap for a working one

That sounds very odd … What do you see if you boot into Test mode

Hold FUNC when booting
Select test mode

Let the analysis complete (log any issues) and then press and hold Trig 3 or 4 or 5 to evaluate the respective LED integrity for r g b respectively

Report what you see here

Trig 3 in test menu , is the Red led on trig 5 defect.
4 green is working 5 blue also.
3 and 4 : combines is yellow but 5 is green
3 and 5: combined is purple but 5 is blue.

Belgium with my Mastercard

This device should be considered DOA. Most retailers have their own policy for items where a hardware defect appears within the first 30 days. Generally the store will replace the item for the customer and then they would seek reimbursement from the equipment manufacturer.

Assuming that the device was sold as new and that the retailer is also in Belgium then I would continue to pursue an exchange with them. If necessary, do a search and find out who owns the business and get in contact with them directly.

I hope that you’re able to get this taken care of.

Definitely, you should get the dealer to swap the device …

I started a retour ticket by the dealer in friday but no sound from there part. And so trig 14 also fultime gives up on the RED LED even in test mode.
