Failed to load sample

Failed to load sample
Unable to load samples from Elektron Digitakt, Octatrack, etc. sound packs (.wav) into the Tonverk. I have plenty of storage space.

With the Digitakt 2, it works perfectly; no problem loading sounds.

???

Do I need to change my SD card, or wait for the next update?

Actually, it happens with all my sounds, even with samples from the Tonverk library itself.

I can no longer load any WAV files.

is not your sd card locked by any chance? loading any sample = writing sample to project/sd card

The SD card is locked, that would be it, I’ll take a look at that. I was also wondering what that padlock next to the BPM was doing… if it is indeed a padlock. It looks open to me…

This is the Elektron SD card supplied with the Tonverk.

OPEN

That lock symbol is for the tempo showing that it’s controlled externally.

Actually I stumbled upon this error too and is not loading wav samples from the pool into the Grainer even if they are there and is not even name them…anyone the reason why? Erro: Failed to load sample file not found

I’ve only had this issue with multi sampled instruments.

Just had this issue with samples I made on my MPC-One… but only some of them.

Same samples work in my Digitakt II. Odd.

Update: I fixed this by loading my problematic samples into a PC sample editor (DSP Quattro) and mass exporting them as 48k, 32 bit wav files.

The originals were 44.1k, 32 bit floating point samples, and I can only assume it was the floating point aspect that causes the issue. I was also wrong about the impact - it was all of the samples made originally on my MPC One.

I have yet to rigorously test that assumption, but the sample rate surely wasn’t the cause (but it could be something more esoteric that was resolved via resaving, like a checksum or proprietary tag that got filtered out, whatever). After finding a fix I lost interest in continuing an investigation.
