Faderfox PC12/MX12 successors – upcoming new controllers (info from Faderfox)

I had a quick chat with Mathias from Faderfox about the discontinued PC12/MX12 and what’s coming next. He was kind enough to share some details and gave me the OK to post them here.

Not sure if all of this is already known, but I thought some of you might find it interesting:

Thanks very much for your interest.

The PC12/MX12 have been discontinued and most likely won’t be produced again, and unfortunately there are no units left in stock either.

However, I’m currently developing their successor models.

The first one has 82 pots + 13 buttons + an OLED.

The second one will have 16 faders (100 mm) + 21 buttons + an OLED.

For a third one, I’m considering 32 high-resolution encoders and 4 OLEDs.

The units will once again come in my nice aluminum enclosure (see my old SOLID CONTROL series), just a little longer and with lots of new features.

Each unit will have 2 MIDI inputs/outputs on mini-jacks and USB-C.

All pots/faders have a higher resolution (over 1,000 steps instead of 128).

The pot controller should be available by the end of September.

The fader controller should follow about two months later.

In addition, an 8-track mix controller in the same format is planned for the beginning of next year, with a 60 mm fader + 1 button + 6 pots per track.

Thanks for posting this. The first two are more or less consistent with what I’ve heard elsewhere (sometimes it’s 2000 instead of 1000, but whatever). The third I think is new, and the 8-track mix controller definitely is. If he keeps to that schedule, interesting times ahead!

I am waiting for this, 82 pots ? what the layout, if i square root its 9,0553851381?

32 Encoders sound yummy too. Hope both come soon.
