Fader controllers

I had serious GAS when I first read about this thing! But I had to say no .
Divorce would be on the cards if I make anymore impulsive purchases :joy::see_no_evil:

Yeh was gonna post this! 16n is the bomb.
Very slick!

I bought it to control Slate & Ash software.
Lovely controller!

Is there a controller with motorized faders & banks that plays nice dawlessly with hardware gear?
Important functionality would have to be that the motorized banks remember their state inbetween bank switches.

Melbourne Instruments, famous for Nina and Delia synths with motorized knobs, have dropped some hints that they are working on something, but there’s nothing definite yet, or a timetable.

Behringer | Product | BCF2000 maybe this? i’ve read the version with a bunch of knobs (& no faders) is actually really nice!

I haven’t seen the Behringer X-touch series mentioned here yet. I don’t have any experience with them but seem pretty affordable for motorized faders.

But not useful in a dawless setup as far as I am aware.

Can anyone recommend a small fader controller with 8 or 16 faders where the faders aren’t too heavy? I just tried an XVI-M which has the layout I wanted but the faders are really heavy so trying to move more than a few faders makes the unit shift.

I’m considering buying a second Faderfox UC-4, but I just want the faders so that seems really overkill price-wise.

It is impossible to know how much resistance faders will have. I’m worried a lot of units will move easily when trying to use multiple faders.

This one looks interesting, I’m surprised it was not mentioned yet
(or I missed it)

It includes a small MIDI looper and MIDI LFO’s.
Quite costly, though…
Pity the looper doesn’t seem to support fixed pattern lengths, like, 8/16/32 steps, etc.
(so I’m sticking to my Bastl MIDI Looper for now)

Beauty for sure but the price…

Yep, a Roto is less expensive, with a feature set in the same league.

I’d probably just add something to the bottom of the unit to make it stick to the desk more tbh. Soft rubber feet or pads, or maybe even velcro. Much cheaper solution than buying a whole new device…

Softube Console 1 Fader.

The controller had one other minor issue and is still under return policy, I’d have to mail it back either way.

I was on the fence about keeping it but no amount of rubber feet will stop it from sliding, the faders have a lot of resistance vs other ones I’ve used. I could Velcro it but I like my gear to be vertical for my neck and I don’t want to fret with it when I play a set out live.

Good thoughts none the less though.

If the lcontrol XL is actually real, it could qualify…

I ended up just buying another UC4. It may be a tad overkill for this setup, but the extra knobs give me space to grow into.

I thought about waiting on the leaked LaunchControl XL3, but those are pretty large for my small desk space if I want 16 faders. Also who knows how much they’ll cost (though probably less than the UC4, but who knows with tariffs?)

Edit: Has anyone tried a Yaeltex controller and know how heavy the throw on those faders are?

Need to research this one ! I’m looking for a controller which could mimic my loopy setup.

I’m impressed with their decision to make it look like it was generated by AI.
