Best one noter ever imo:
That’s some nice guitar work above …
For some time I was quite fed up with guitar, its player and their attitude, but since a while I begin to appreciate guitar music again.
Maybe I am getting old…
Chuck’s solos (and riffs) on Symbolic are incredible. Very inventive and original.
Probably my favorite metal drumming on that album too.
Around 4:20 one of the most insane solos ever:
Yeah man, Schuldiner and Hoglan are so strong together on Symbolic.
Yeah, everything on that album is perfect. The production and cover art are amazing.
I was looking for Fripp’s St. Elmo’s Fire solo but clicked on this instead…
from 10:30 onwards: pure bliss
(actually the whole song…)
There you go
Solos only count if you do them in the intro
@GovernorSilver You can’t talk about guitar solos without mentioning the GOAT Ernie Isley.
Here for Adrian Smith. He still got it as well. His solo from Senjutsu’s ‘Writing On The Wall’ absolutely slaps.
His lead guitar playing, Ron’s vocals, and the rest of the mix just come together so perfectly on that soul ballad
Shivers every fucking time.
Best ever wonky guitar solo player has to be Stephen Malkmus. Absolutely love the way he plays guitar. If you can consistently hit bum notes and still rock it you must be a genius.
My fav though. Reminds me of La Jungle.
Old Stevie Vais solo here is also noteworthy:
RIP Eddie <3
