External sequencer & MnM

Hello everyone!
I’m planning to use external sequencer with MnM to run 6 machines. Which functions will stop working? Only p-lock, lfo trig comes to mind. What else?

hopefully none :smile_cat:
you’ll be able to control pretty much everything that has a MIDI CC assigned, much depends on the sequencer too, as in: which MIDI messages can be sent from it
there’s a list of all the parameters with the corresponding MIDI CC value on the MM manual (last few pages), that should help

…just to add to the above: if you’re using an external sequencer with the MM synced and the sequencer running, you can still use your p-locks on a track for instance, this way of course you’re kinda limited from what the sequencer on the MM can do and how much you have control over it, compared to what the external sequencer allows you to do (being it an hardware/software sequencer)

Yup. P-locks work great with an external sequencer running. And you always can assign velocity mod to lower the message load.

Thanks for your advice!
Indeed, MnM works great from an external sequencer.
However, there is a problem when I’m recording the parameters locks - amp trig is also recorded and after a few cycles, chaos of notes is obtained. Is it possible ignored amp trig in recording mode?

:upside_down_face:

You will loose P-lock and Slide. (NVM)
Lfo-Trig is still good from Midi

But you will gain two desitinations each for Velocity, Mod, Joystick up/down, Joystick Left/right and Key track via Midi CC

are you using trigless trigs?

Yes, of course , but trigless trig is not recorded in record mode.
