So as you all know, the Model Samples’ velocity sensitive pads kinda suck. I’ve adjusted the velocity sensitivity and it’s a lot better, but they are still small and occasionally don’t register. So I’m thinking about getting a midi pad controller to plug into it. Has anyone else tried this and what would you recommend? I just tried my Electribe 2 and it works but for some reason it sends a super high pitch to the model samples and you can’t adjust which midi note the pads send from the Electribe 2.
I was going to post virtually the same message, so I’m also looking for recommendations. Virtually no experience of finger-drumming so I’m all ears … tell me about merits of different sizes of pads, which ones have the ‘best’ feel (I know, I know) … I’ve been considering a launchkey mini Mk3 but don’t honestly need the extra keyboard … but then almost anything else is going to be that big anyway, right ?
