External effect for beefing up MD

Hi everyone,

I’m really getting cooking with my Machinedrum now, and overall I love the sounds. Cool, crisp, digital goodness. That said some of my tracks call for something more warm and wide/fat sounding. Any suggestions on a good effects rack/pedal/filters to run it through?

I’ve been considering some of the moogerfoogers, though I would ‘t be sure which one to get. There’s a ring modulator model for sale nearby, though that seems like something better suited to guitar. My budget is about $200.

Thanks,

Maybe a Used Art Pro VLA tube optical compressor?

I would probably wait and save up for the Analog Heat though.

MD sounds great thru Heat. I also really love the Elysia XPressor on the Elektrons, but that’s a bit pricier

The Heat is hard to beat, no doubt, but…$_$

A cheap three head cassette deck. $20-60

Lots of suggestions, but not for $200. And Moogerfoogers will cost even more than that.

But try this out for $50… https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/monotronDUO

Use the 1 x 1/8" TRS (Aux) input of the Korg monotron Duo to process the Machinedrum.
