Ext. keyboard triggers only/always the Digitone track, not the MIDI track

Hi friends :slight_smile:

Here is my little problem: I use an external MIDI keyboard with the Digitone. (Actually, it’s the keyboard of a Jupiter-X).

The keyboard’s keys trigger all-right the Digitone tracks, but they don’t impact on the MIDI tracks.

  • If I’m on track 1 (non-MIDI), the keyboard plays the Digitone’s sounds, and I can record in “live recording mode” on this track.

  • If I’m on track MIDI 1, the keyboard STILL plays the Digitone’s sounds, and “live recording mode” STILL records on the Digitone track 1.

  • What I expect to do: being able to play and record with the external keyboard on the MIDI track, and this without triggering the Digitone track/notes.

I’m quite new at MIDI menu diving and it’s probable I missed something. Unless I’m trying doing something impossible?

You need to set your midi controller to the auto channel of Digitone. Now when you select a track on the Digitone, it will play the corresponding track.
