Explaining Deleuze with drum machines

If you’re a fan of analog or vintage instruments, you have probably spent some amount of time thinking about the value of using the “real thing” vs a modern copy. I wasn’t that familiar with Deleuze so I thought the Arborescent vs. Rhizomatic was a cool structure to use in this discussion.

Taking the video a step further, I wonder how this applies to digital recreations of classic instruments. New emulations so close to the original, created with “Arborescent” thought, that they hardly bring anything new of value. But they can be pretty practical and inexpensive! My thoughts: from a historical perspective, nobody will reminisce over something like the arturia jp8 clone, but digital instruments like the monologue or the nord modular have a character of their own despite being in part inspired by analog gear, and will be revered.
