Eventide H9 news free plugins

Yes! H9 Standard comes with Crystals and H910/H949 algos, so these are the only ones I’ve tried, but I enjoyed running drums through them.
I love especially Crystals as a delay effect on leads, basslines, acidlines and stuff like that.
Really looking forward to running drums and synths through the other Pitchfactor algos.

Wow, I love that panel design.

Cuts out quite a bit of the top end, other than that it does sound v good, it’s unique, quirky and you can get pretty creative with it. I got it new, paid up front and waited more than a YEAR for it!

Pitchflex, Micropitch and Quadravox are the ones I’ve explored and used most. They’re all ace. Much left for me to explore and I’ve had it for almost 2 years now.

Damn man that is tempting. Only have the Core with Blackhole added, but to have all those options seems like a steal.

I’m now playing around with HarPeggiator to chop up / glitch out some pads - sustained airy long cords. This is a crazy deep glitch machine, worth reading the algo guide to understand what’s going on. Set up select rhythms and sequences which work with the source sound, then carefully set up morphs for rhythms and dynamics.

Previously I only tried Harpeg on mono sources and found it harsh/extreme without digging deeper and quickly moved on in search of something else.

Enlighten me please. Can you stack the H9 plug-ins in a DAW?
I’ve been experimenting with mangled/pitched/glitched vocals, mostly H9, but doing it through a DAW would save a heap of time re-recording.
(I have the entry version of FL and Ablation, but not a DAW user myself)

Yes, you can do that. Generally, with any plugin that you have purchased, you can use as many separate instances of it as your DAW & computer can handle.

The main exception is plugins that act as a bridge to an external piece of hardware, eg the Analog Heat Overbridge plugin.

Oh yeah that reminds me - I need to finish the process of getting my free plugins as an H9 Max owner.

Jumped through the hoops to get the iLok thingy already, at least.

This is interesting.

Some questions:
Is is possible to easily transfer patches between the pedal and the plugins?

Haven’t investigated deeply, but the plugins are VST versions of the same algorithms in the pedal, right? So it should sound pretty much the same?

Are the algorithms all separated plugins, or is it more like the H9 control app, where you choose between the multiple algorithm within a single plugin?

What would be the best deal to get a pedal with all algorithms and the plugin bundle? A core pedal maxed out with the current discount (how much?) or just a new max version?

H9 Control ist just the software editor and librarian for H9 and the algorithms in the H9 are seperate effects. Just to clarify.

In the H9 series plugin bundle what you get are seperate plugins and yes, they should sound identical. I don’t think that you can load patches from the H9, but they don’t have many parameters, so matching the values should be easy.

Core costs 300$ to max out, Standard costs 200$.

Thnx. In the meantime I also found out that the plugin bundle only consists of 11 algorithms and some which I really like about my Space pedal are missing… that’s a bummer

Yeah, you won’t get all H9 algos as plugins, only 11. Still a good deal, tho!

What the best deal is probaply depends on the prices you pay in your country and if you can use a coupon or any special offer of some sorts.

Just checked prices here and the difference between Standard and Max is pretty much 200€. I paid ~171€ to max out (price on the Eventide website I had to pay was in dollar, after conversion it was around 171€). So I actually saved some money compared to if I had bought the Max. Maxing out Core would also be cheaper than directly buying a Max.
