Ok, I feel like I can share my total scraps with you guys. I sure wish I had heard some more styles when looking for this thing…

So here’s the good/bad/ugly with my first real night with the Perkons. Like I said, some if it is a complete mess

Akita (Made with a sample of the drone thing from above, and more perkons.

Latvian Swing

Hoards

Play Again?

Rubber Banding

The Usual

House Party (Repeated from above, just to drop all of my Day 1 noodles in a singular place.)

House Party Over (Get The Fuck Out!)

Hmm (The moment I realized this could have potential for my actual music. Though a mess of a song, structure wise. )

“Hoards” is really good. It has a bit of a BOC vibe going on.

Thanks a bunch!

heh, that was absolutely the source of the name.

I love knock off boards of canada preset names.

Bored in Canada. lol.

Nice! The more I use the perkons the more I like it. If they would add chromatic control of the tuning, a way to change the filter resonance, and microtiming (and squash some little bugs here and there) it might be right up there with my pulsar.

Another. This time with some thoughts.

Still assessing this thing but it’s grown on me a lot. I don’t know if it’s worth the asking price, but the sound and flow put a smile on my face. And this is like day 2.

The build quality threw me off at first. But I’m an engineering / manufacturing technician by trade and deal with sheet metal assemblies like this on a daily basis. My standards might be higher than yours.

I originally found some of the voices hard to tune and there are oddities I ran into overall. I really wish it were like $1200. It would be a no brainer and I think it smokes my Rytm as far as sound goes (for my particular style. YMMV obviously.)

Tonally, it suits me right away. I don’t see it being super diverse but the quality and texture of the hats/noise/filters just fits well into a mix.

I’m only just starting to appreciate how snappy kit changes are. It’s like the pattern/kit reloading elektron thing on steroids since you can save so many iterations on the fly and fuck around with em.

Verdict is still out but I’m groovin.
This is my fav thing out of it yet.

Sounds awesome - it’s the damn size of the thing that has prevented me from grabbing one. My home studio is already a booby trap to navigate through to get to my desk

The size is actually one of my favorite things about it. Nice to have a full size drum machine if you have the space for it!

And if you don’t there is always the lxr-02…

Yesterday i finally got one. Never would have thought that i would scrape together that amount of money. And i’m still a bit confused about how i should feel about it. :slightly_smiling_face:
But i definitely love this thing already. Feels like a real instrument with real controls and real sound. I hope it can stay in my studio. Unfortunately the most expensive pieces have to go first when i need to pay unexpected bills.

Guys, has anyone thought about the “load panel” function on the HD-01? Similar function is implemented on the minilogue xd. The idea is to load the current state - the position of the knobs. Perhaps this is already there, and i still thinking about it.

It is already there, just hold clear and press kit.

The manual is your friend :-P…
