I’d largely ignored the ER-301 due to price and HP, but I had a bunch of people recommend it to me yesterday and I started watching videos…holy hell, such a brilliant module. Virtually limitless possibilities in this thing…most likely going to be my next purchase.
It certainly is very cool. I played with it briefly amd found its not particularly immediate by any stretch of the imagination. Its hard remmebering which function does what. I played with the ER-101 and 102 expander and as far as sequencing goes, they take time but are fantastic. Felt the 301 was a little too complicated for my liking but I suppose thats my general feeling on modular at the moment…
talking of modular how awesome is the mighty Cwejman … maybe the 301 would be the perfect sequencer for Cwejman.
I don’t really use Eurorack gear, but I hold Othogonal Devices in very high esteem. I think about this module often, and all of the thought and care that went into it. A friend of mine uses one, and loves it. I’ve held it in my own hands and the build quality is excellent. Reminds me a bit of Cwejman modules in that way.
