Empty sample slot after reboot

Hey, have a problem here i dont really understand. When recording a sample and assign it to a flex track, after reboot, the sample name is still there, but the slot is empty. What am i doing wrong? Here is a movie from the issue : https://youtu.be/XqMhJEJudQY . Thanks !!

Could it be because i still have a recording trigger in the REC sequencer?

You chose ASSIGN TO SELF, hence saved recording to RECORDING 1-8 slot (apparently R8 in your case).

On the video I saw a one shot rec trig (yellow). At startup it is armed, so it records and overwrites track’s buffer. Your previously recorded and saved is overwritten. Possible to reload saved sample in AED File page.

Everything is normal ! :content:
You should save recording and assign to a Flex or Static slot*, not to a recording buffer (TO SELF means track’s recording buffer.)

Flex for shorter samples, avoids clicks when modulating sliced samples, Static for longer recordings…up to 8m28s !

Assign to Self. And delete the Recording trigger.
Dear beloved god, what kind of aliens made this gear, it’s such a confusing device. But brilliant once you understand it.

Haha! That was it! You are a total dude, thank you very much.
I can now reboot and have the sample still playing in the sample slot.

Thank you very very very much.
