Elektronauts, any Burners here?

Curious if there’s any 'nauts that go to the Burn (Burning Man that is). My partner and I will be heading back this year. My third time and her sixth. We’ll be driving down for the first time. Super excited for the road trip and to be back on Playa!

Any other burners here? Anyone going this year?

I went in 2015. It’s great. I don’t live in California anymore and it’s not as convenient for me to get to black rock desert, so no plans to return. But i recommend everyone who is near that area to check it out at least once.

I’ve worked the event a few times back when I worked for Ticketfly but never attended as a patron. It’s getting crazier and crazier each year it seems.

Yep… I’ve been quite a few times and will back out there this year. :fire:

There really is no place like it.

Went to Afrikaburn last year. Flew out from the UK. Surreal being out there in the Tankwa. Definitely going again!

Went from 2014-2018, five years in a row. Now that I live in Berlin, I’m usually headed to regionals and mini burn-ish events. My partner doesn’t love the idea of flying so far for something so hedonistic (and arguably “wasteful”), but we met at a regional so I’m hoping one day she’ll be up for it for the experience;) I miss it!

I went in 2016…lol

Signed up for the OMG sale - what are the odds I can get a ticket for this year?

Also what are the odds my partner lets me go and watches our 1.5yr old for a week :joy:

Really good. It all depends on how much you want to pay considering the ridiculous new pricing model.

If you’re super keen on going, you could check the Secure Ticket Exchange Program.

Also, R.I.P Mayan Warrior </3

Afrikaburn looks amazing and we hope to go one day!

Nice! Are you with a camp or do you free camp?

%100 agree! It just get into your soul. Looking forward to being home again :fire:

I’m camping with the crew for an art installation for build and strike weeks… might sort something else out for event. So not really a theme camp but organized a bit more than if I was on my own.

How about yourself?

We’re in a hub. We used to camp with BRCU. After 2023, they took the year off and some long time campers with them started their own thing. The hub had 3 camps last year anchored by New York Deli. There’s 5 total this year.

We’re 29 people. Our camp bought the old mutant vehicle from one of the old BRCU campers. So, we’ve also got a sweet ride for deep playa! Sits…15ish IIRC.

We’ll be on playa the Thursday before gate opens. Maybe we can roll out to your build.

What piece are you helping out with?

Also, 2019 slow rolling out to temple burn. It was just…wow. Powerful stuff. Deeply emotional. Looking forward to the return:

Nice sounds like a pretty good setup! Vehicle changes everything

Helping out on “One Tin Soldier” which is an extension of the piece we did in '22… “Remember When”… more colloquially know as “The Love Blocks” which are coming back with more blocks, the large jacks from last year, a giant yoyo and a giant toy soldier on horseback… I’ll try to find a decent image but should be pretty easy to find.
