And I even forgot about that one!!!
yeah i just meant that style of organic experimental synthesis inside of a box that can multitrack and sequence it, but the A4 is actually pretty close to that
ā¦
I did actually find the perfect synth for the new syntakt engine though (detailed technical info on the signal path inside link below)
this is exactly what i want. inside of the digitone box:
Madrona Labs Forums - News - Sumu preview
additive fm with 64 partials, a pulse engine for triggering the 64 envelopes individually, a binaural type āspaceā module for positioning the sounds in a virtual environment, and a resonator module based on the polymoog with āthree state-variable filters in parallel, with limited bandwidth and a bit of distortion for that āwarmā soundā
4 tracks of at least 8 voices (or 64) and making those filters analog if possible would make that the perfect Syntakt for me
so, we petition elektron to build this exact device, a collab with Randy from Madona Labs, and force them to build it
Yes itās being replaced by the Syntakt.
Really i have no clue, but the Digitone Keys being discontinued is a great rumor.
confirmed facts are the best facts
I think Elektron will stay in the hardware game but possibly the cloud stuff might be a replacement or an alternative to the sound packs they offer?
So a monthly subscription would entitle the user to get new content, a bit like loopcloud or splice etc but specifically for Elektron machines, a bit like Roland cloud but hopefully not as horrible.
But I donāt think platform specific specialised and niche services such as Roland cloud will be a long term thing in the same way that Netflix, Spotify etc are as I donāt think there is a large enough user base to make them viable in the longterm.
From what I see a lot of musicians donāt seem to like these kind of services, although undoubtedly some do, I guess it is dependent on if enough new users sign up to replace the inevitable cancellations after the honeymoon period. Then there are the problems related to software and hardware updates required to keep the services up to date, security updates, functionality updates, underlying OS updates and so on.
Iād be interested to know how many Elektron users actually use Overbridge and see it as a factor in their purchasing decision, and if the cost of deployment and ongoing development has paid off.
Regardless, I am interested to see what comes next, I kind of have a feeling that it will end up ok as usual with Elektron, I think they have a history of giving stuff you did not know you needed so I remain optimistic for now.
Well iām sure if we can get this to 2000 posts before December 1st things will be revealed, but if not I think the Malmo Mafia will be ready to break some heads with their fikas.
They need to use all those Keys casings and keyboards for the launch of Syntakt Keys, which will debut alongside the groovebox Syntakt. Since its got synth in the name theyāre doing the keyboard version from the get go.
Can syntakt have like 8 speeds of freeze delay for all 16 tracks please?
is it released yet?
What kind of built in FX will it have?
Just an automated filter sweep via on/off button.
In settings -> system -> other -> FX -> personalized menu you can change the rate of the sweep between 1 beat and 4 beats.
elektron has R&D to pull that off?
A little OT, but I think Elektron should make a four way Vesa mount with room for each of the four square machines (Syntakt, Digitakt, Digitone, and Heat) and call it Intakt. Huge marketing miss in my opinion (which isnāt worth much in marketing).
Attakt!
Overreakt
this thread
Just a heads-up to Elektron, calling dibbs on these:
Monotakt
Minitakt
Polytakt
Notakt
Filtakt
Subtakt
Wavetakt
Talktakt
Distrakt
If they donāt make little promotional boxes of mints to hand out at Superbooth and label them āTiktaktā theyāll be missing a trick.
Whusssakt
TikTakt would be a great TaktTikā¦
good news, itās a digital automated sweepomatic
