If the Takt trilogy were RPG classes, I think they’d follow the classic RPG trinity pattern.
Digitakt: Thief
Digitone: Mage
Syntakt: Warrior
Do you agree? Disagree? What would the other Elektron machines be in an RPG setting? Discuss!!

Octatrack would be the gamemaster, at least for me
100% agree on that one. GameMaster Clock in my studio
Digitakt: Human Paladin
Digitone: Elven Mage
Syntakt: Dwarven Warrior
Octatrack: Beyonder
Overbridge: DM (GM I guess depending on where you grew up)
Although I see the clock connection to running the game.
Sidstation would be the old Kung Fu Master.
what now, no bard in the team? tsk tsk. They’d be all bards but going mutli class.
Analog 4 => Half Orc Barbarian, 2nd Class Shaman. (Its so flexible, one class cant be enough.)
Nerds
Wouldn’t Syntakt be Paladin, since it combines digital (magic) with analog (strength)?
To clarify, I think the Digitakt is a thief specifically because it steals (sampling) and uses knives (slicing).
If anything I’d say Model:Cycles fits the description of Bard that I just read which says they’re a jack of all trades. Does both synths and drums, and so charming!
Octatrack is a space marine in terminator armor
Paladins are ultra religious in historical fiction, I think that’s also part of the d&d class description. Nothing about syntakt screams devout worshipper to me, maybe chaotic neutral or berserker.
I think digitakt means well, seems like a true believer to me. Ultra hard worker is my foundation for that.
Yes but if you press one button on the back of their armor, or the wrong two-button combination on the front of their armor, their memory is completely erased.
Or roll wrong? I don’t know… I probably should have, but I’ve never played D&D.
Analog Heat is the Cleric. Pretty high level, it can resurrect a long dead mix.
100% Heat as Cleric.
Monomachine = Sorcerer
Machinedrum = Warlock
Digitakt: Rocket
Digitone: Propelled
Syntakt: Grenade
Octatrack would be the Assassin.
Digitakt the Thief.
Digitone the Mage, brilliant tones from the energy lying in simple waveforms.
Syntakt would be a mixed class indeed. I’d go for Battlemage.
Analog Rytm would be the Warrior. Doesn’t mind stealing a bit.
Machinedrum could be an ancient Paladin.
I’d see the Analog 4 as a Sorcerer. Can go in Mage territory, but darker, and closer to the roots…
As for the Monomachine… Definitely the Chaman, even capable of making you hear voices.
