Elektron devices + Overbridge -- why does Tap Tempo not work?

I’m trying to use Tap Tempo on the Rytm mkII, while it’s connected over Overbridge.

Why does this function not work in such a scenario?

The Rytm is being controlled by the DAW.

Yeah, I just wish I could still use it’s tap tempo, and thought there was an auto setting for clock.

It’s the best tap tempo I have in the studio.

Depending on what DAW you’re using, you can set up MIDI to tap tempo. Not exactly the same.
