i recently bought the same two tier stand as linked by crypticresonance. it looks great and is well built, works very well when producing standing up. sitting down however, i find the higher shelf is at too much of an angle, making it difficult to see the top screen. i use a standard office chair and studio desk, therefore i don’t think it’s my furniture that’s the issue. you can however solve this problem leaving the bottom two screws out and swivelling the unit at a more usable angle. hope that helps!
another thing to consider it how your stand will effect you monitor placement. two tier stands are nice, but can easily be in the way of your speakers causing bad reflections.
